SASSA will likely be rendering services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it is actually alarmed with regard to the substantial number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a higher range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly a click here result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office devoted website to service the area each day. The company stage made for intervention experiences a large inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it tricky with the office to attend to all people who sassa pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more methods to allow the servicing of all clients and increase access to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
